I haven’t posted in a few days because I’ve been doing more thinking…about the blog. That’s generally the way I am: I do too much thinking and not enough doing. But I don’t want to get in the habit of just posting a bunch of pretty pictures and talking about ways to spend lots of money renovating our homes in order to obtain happy living. Although in some cases renovating and decorating can help, I don’t believe they are the ultimate answer. I am taking time to think about the direction of the blog, what my goals are and how best to convey the ideas. With that said, I have spent some time going through my bookshelves, library receipts, reading lists, etc. to come up with a few Amazon.com book lists on different subjects. I hope you find something that sparks your interest or inspires you.
happy living book list
A few of the books are about downsizing your home or living in small spaces, but since I believe happy living is not just about that, there are a few other books about the psychology of home and how it is more than just a where or what question.
For fun, here are a few rooms that I think evoke happy feelings. (all images from Living Etc.)
