Last Friday I spent an entire afternoon with a very dear, old (but young) friend that I have not seen in over 10 years. We have known each other since Miss Barbara's Dancing School that we both attended at the age of 4 and were friends up through high school. I don't know why we lose touch with people over the years. Some friendships just have their time and place. Others are meant to be forever, or at least for a very long time. Reconnection is good.
This Friday (today) we are having the best autumn weather ever. And tomorrow is our big family birthday celebration, my dad's forced-layoff-but-blessed-retirement celebration and I see the boy off on his week long hunting trip to Colorado. Bittersweet. There's been a lot of bittersweetness lately. Life is full of it.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
